Onboarding Process for New Members at Bespoke House Artisan Community


Welcome to Bespoke House Artisan Community! We're excited to have you as a new member. Our onboarding process is designed to help you get started on the right foot and make the most of your membership. Please follow these steps carefully during your 30-Day Discovery Period:

Step 1: New Member Sign Up

  • After signing up, you will receive a Welcome Packet via digital download. Please review and make sure we have your correct contact information.
  • Schedule Workshops or Events: Members can schedule their workshops with the split door option using code “Split” that will zero out the total and secure the slot. We will arrange details and ticket options upon booking.

  • Complete the Artisan Profile form here. This profile will be used for marketing and promotion of your endeavors within our community. Take this opportunity to showcase your work and provide all relevant links for patrons to connect with you.

Step 4: Discovery Meeting

Schedule a discovery meeting with our Member Liaison or your assigned Mentor at your earliest convenience. During this meeting, we will answer any questions you may have about the Welcome Packet, Event Booking, Vending Opportunities, Gallery Submissions, and Business Development Services.

Step 6: Submit Business Development Assessment

  • Fill out the Business Development Assessment form here. You can exit and return to the form at any time.
  • This assessment helps us provide tailored services and resources to support your business growth.
  • Please be thorough and detailed in your responses. There are only 20 questions. If for any reason you do not have the answers, fear not! Type N/A and we have mentors and referrals to help guide you through your Bespoke Journey.

Resident & Artisans

Bespoke House Artisan Community Live/Work Resident Agreement

This Resident Agreement outlines the terms and conditions under which you ("Resident") may use the live/work spaces provided by Bespoke House Artisan Community ("Bespoke House").

  1. Facilities and Services: Resident shall have access to the live/work suite, including high-speed internet, a kitchenette with basic appliances, and communal studio spaces. Bespoke House shall provide initial orientation to the community spaces and resources.
  2. Use of Space: Resident agrees to maintain cleanliness, including no dishes left in sinks and disposing of food items stored for over three days. Resident shall not make any structural changes to the suite. Resident is expected to maintain a reasonable level of cleanliness. Failure to do so could result in additional cleaning fees.
  3. Membership and Dues: Resident is required to maintain an active membership. Failure to maintain active status will result in immediate eviction from the private suite or residency studio, and locks may be changed without notice.
  4. Security Deposit: A security deposit equal to the rate of membership is required at the time of signing. This deposit is refundable upon successful check-out, provided there are no damages or outstanding dues.
  5. Check-In and Check-Out: Check-in time is 3 PM on the start date of residency; check-out time is 11 AM on the end date. Resident must return all keys and ensure that the suite is left in a clean state.
  6. Rules and Conduct: Resident agrees to abide by all community rules, including no smoking, no pets, and maintaining a quiet environment conducive to creativity.
  7. Liability and Damages: Resident is responsible for any damages caused during their stay and agrees to cover the cost of repairs or replacements.
  8. Termination: Bespoke House reserves the right to terminate this agreement with immediate effect if Resident breaches any terms.

By maintaining an active membership, Resident agrees to adhere to the terms and conditions stated in this agreement.

We ask our active and current members to help contribute to the standards of Bespoke House Artisan Community. As independent and volunteer creatives, we should aim to hold each other accountable and up to the standards of our community. 

Weekly Cleaning Tasks:

 

  • Sweep floors in all common areas and studios.
  • Vacuum carpets and rugs.
  • Empty all trash bins Tuesday night, Wednesday is trash day.
  • Check and replace bathroom supplies as needed; request supplies if necessary.
  • Use a leaf blower to clear debris from the interior courtyard.
  • Clean any used dishes and return them to their proper places.
  • Dispose of any food items stored for more than three days.
  • Ensure cigarette butts are disposed of in the proper receptacles.
  • Keep promotional materials in designated areas only.

 

Monthly Deep Cleaning Tasks:

 

  • Thoroughly clean kitchenette and appliances.
  • Deep clean bathrooms, including showers and floors.
  • Dust all surfaces, including window sills and baseboards.
  • Clean windows and glass doors.

 

Specific Guidelines:

 

  • Maintain thermostat settings at 73 degrees.
  • Do not pour paint or other non-biodegradable materials down drains.
  • Art supplies should not be cleaned in food-grade sinks.
  • Ensure all communal food is kept in designated areas; pay it forward with donations.
  • Label personal items clearly if left in common spaces and are not for communal use.
  • Return all borrowed items like lighting, cables, and furniture to their designated places after use. Ensure you check these items in and out.
  • Use showers courteously, checking availability with other residents.

 

Security and Conduct:

 

  • Keep in mind you are on camera; we are live streaming to promote our community and creative processes.
  • Ensure all guests abide by community rules and cleanliness standards.
  • No sleeping in communal areas; private studios are at the discretion of the studio holder.
  • Ensure mail is collected from the Call Box in the Gift Shop; Bespoke House is not responsible for mail delivery.
  • If you are the last artisan on site, close and lock all exterior doors.

 

Lawn Care and Exterior Maintenance:

 

  • Regular lawn care and garden maintenance are scheduled. Participate and respect these spaces.

 

Gift Shop and Gallery Sales:

 

  • Artisan Members are responsible for their own items in the gift shop and donations from these sales are appreciated.
  • Bespoke House manages sales of artworks included in the gallery exhibition program.

 

Important Notice

If, for any reason, you do not complete your 30-Day Discovery Period or provide the requested information, you may forfeit Bespoke House services and be limited in the offerings from our creative community. Applicants for the Bespoke Capital Advancement Program must complete the Discovery Period in full or risk forfeiting business loan opportunities unless otherwise reviewed and approved by our board of directors.
